1) Deep Listening
Have you shared the story of your inner world? Beyond your biography, a personal mythology—an inner drama of the psyche—is wanting to be seen, heard, and validated. "Myths," according to psychiatrist Jean Shinoda Bolen, "evoke feeling and imagination and touch on themes that are part of the human collective inheritance." As part of your life's legacy experience, the hopes, fears, and dreams of your imagination will not only be acknowledged, they will be revered and honored. Clinical psychologist David Feinstein believes that personal mythologies are typically unconscious and they shape the way we experience the world and our relationships. As you gain more self-awareness of the deeper archetypal patterns that structure your psyche, you become a conscious participant in shaping your own self-narrative. 2) Meaningful dialogue
Aside from being witnessed, the magic of the work lies in the alchemical process that is created between you and your guide. Dr. Dan Siegal has explained how research from the field of interpersonal neurobiology supports the notion that "the source of mind is not just within us, but also between us." As you share your biography and inner experience, your guide will ask sincere questions that elicit your authentic emotions and deep contemplation on the most important parts of your life. Advise may be offered when appropriate, but more importantly your guide is seeking to understand you in a profound way in order to provide a genuine reflection of your life's story, and to create a safe space for you to be honest with yourself about the self-narrative you're creating. Meaningful dialogue requires a balance between reaching a desired outcome and honoring the time it truly takes for psychological material to rise from the unconscious above the threshold of consciousness.
3) INTERPRETATION
Once your story has been documented, absorbed, and metabolized, your guide will utilize evolutionary and archetypal perspectives to interpret its deeper meaning. As interpretation is a creative act, your guide will personally work with you to see what resonates and what misses the mark. After a few rounds of refinement, the final interpretation will not only reflect the truth of your story, it will also be something you can identify with that establishes the meaning and purpose underneath your life's story. Since you are the central character of your self-narrative, you get to make the final decisions about how you are remembered and what your legacy will be.
4) CREATION
This is where your life's story becomes your legacy. Your guide will personally make you a portrait of your soul. This portrait will include written text that tells your story, and it will highlight the archetypal structure of your life's story and the deeper truths of your soul's journey. The finished product may include some culturally and religiously specific symbols, personal photos, and artistic flares that accentuate your story. You can share your life's story and legacy with your friends and family and, if you desire, with the rest of the world. As Dan McAdams—a pioneer in narrative psychology—has said, a "good life story is one of the most important gifts we can ever offer each other."

Maximilian De Armon, PhD
Maximilian De Armon offers an archetypal and evolutionary perspective with a heart-centered approach to personal development and transformative growth. De Armon earned his dotorate from the California Institute of Integral Studies in Philosophy and Religion, with a concentration in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness. A substantial part of his research focuses on mapping the inner terrain of the psyche (soul), drawing on contemporary frameworks from archetypal, Jungian, transpersonal, and depth psychological traditions, ancient wisdom traditions, and evolutionary and neurobiological scientific data. His dissertation, The Cosmological Self: Towards a Planetary Consciousness, explores the evolution of consciousness and the scientific findings of the twentieth century that support the notion that individuals are embedded in a living Earth and an extension of the interior and exterior dimensions of an evolving universe.
In addition to his intellectual pursuits, De Armon is also deeply committed to his own process of healing, facing the shadow, and doing the psychological and spiritual inner work needed to be a helpful guide for others. While he finds inner work to be foundational, he is also trained as a facilitator in the healing modality of Gender Equity and Reconciliation International, which helps women and men—and people of all gender identities—process their deepest wounds and recognize their shared humanity in a group process.
While his guidance and service is backed by extensive research and spiritual practice, De Armon has a rich history of producing works of art for many clients for almost three decades. He's produced documentaries in San Francisco and Santa Fe, and produced music for dozens of clients and helped bring rising stars to the theatrical stage. His production experience began in the late '90s, when he paid his dues working for New York City celebrities in the theater, film, and music industries, including working directly with Philip Seymour Hoffman on critically acclaimed theatrical shows, and as a production assistant on three-seasons of Tina Fey's Emmy award-winning TV show 30-Rock. After working with many stars through the decades, De Armon wants to take that experience and help more souls bring their light to the world and leave a legacy. He currently lives in the majestic Western Sierra Foothills with his growing family.
